A Good Day

There may be some who disagree, but in our house today, it is a good day.

It happened to be that we had a full house this morning, with my parents here helping with the boys, and Jim home from work for the day. So we turned up the TV, put out some pillows for the boys and all watched and listened together as Barack Obama was sworn in as our new President. It felt a little like I imagine other historic events might have felt - those that happened during a time when TV was still a novelty, and families gathered together to watch and share the important moments.

No matter who you voted for, it is a historic day, and I'm proud to have been been able to participate in it, however tiny the way.
