Halloween Time

Ladies & Gentlemen, Stelvis is in the building (x2)!

Really, what else could they have been for Halloween? It could only have been Stelvis. And don't make the mistake of calling them Elvis, or they will surely correct you.

As you can see, their excitement about getting to wear costumes was only heightened when they found out what the costumes were.

Happily, all of us had recovered sufficiently from our colds, and the weather cooperated enough that we were able to take the boys on their very first round of trick or treating with some friends down in Akron. They had a blast and it didn't take them long to figure it all out. Drew, in particular, would say, as we were leaving one house "Now we go to ANOTHER house!" It was great fun, despite having to figure out how to let them have a blast getting treats, while not letting them eat any of the candy... (Yes, I will admit to being a hypocrite and consuming a number of the treats from their bags once they were safely in bed...) Thankfully one house was handing out pretzels, so that was their treat for the night. It's hard to believe, but we didn't see one other Stelvis costume the whole time...

In other news, we've gotten a bit more settled in, though progress slowed down quite a bit last week while we all battled colds. One of these days we'll take some pictures of the inside to post for those who have been asking. Maybe once we get a few more pictures hung, a few more things in place.....

We've been enjoying the fall weather, too. This morning was beautiful - warm and sunny - so the boys and I took the opportunity to play outside a bit. I decided to rake a few leaves and the boys soon joined me with their rakes. However it didn't take long for them to figure out that the real fun was to be found in the middle of the pile, rather than in the creation of it.(And no, Drew wasn't pushed... He fell over because he was laughing so hard he couldn't stand up. Beautiful.)
